Great grandpa's 80th birthday

Both great-grandpa and great-grandson with grandson Roland on the right. We went for a lunch celebration last afternoon. Aeon's greatgrandpa (my grandfather-in-law) looked very happy.

好不好?

Aeon: Grapes, 葡萄please?

Me: No more Grapes, 葡萄 , we finished it, remember?

Aeon: Ji-Gert ? (He meant Yogurt)

Me: We finished the Ji-Gert? (I thought we finished it, so I told him)

Aeon: Orange juice please? (I ignored him for a while)
Aeon: 好不好?

He caught my attention as I actually heard him say 好不好?

Me: No more orange juice too.... We will go buy soon.

Disappointed Aeon.

AMK Hub . AMK Hub. AMK Hub.

It is so scary to keep hearing Aeon repeating AMK hub every single moment. Like on Monday - I think he actually said more than 100 times within 5 hours (when I met Ro and Aeon for dinner). I caught this video!

Goes like this:

Ang Mo Kio.......... blabbering non-stop and then Ang Mo Kio Hub!
He is the best mascot for AMK Hub, isn't he?

Right now this moment since I got home - I am sure that I heard at least 50 times!
Maybe he said it at least 200 times a day?

East Coast Park

We went to the East Coast park today! This is Aeon's first visit to the seaside with us. Me and Roland's last visit was 4 years ago - our first picnic and celebrating my birthday. Times flies!
Now we brought our pig......

I changed my header again - this time even more customized. It is a writing of R + F = AEON (Roland + Fern of coz!).We had fun, especially Aeon. He ran and ran and ran, we chased and chased and chased. He fell, tripped - we sayang and sayang him.

He chased after a big dog and the owner (a lady) was so afraid that she tried to stop him.
He bumped into so many uncles and aunties and I had to kept apologizing to everyone.
He wanted to snatch other kids's toys and we had to drag him away.

So tired......

We played with the sand, trying to leave our prints everywhere.
We let Aeon get close to the waves and he was so afraid and said "No! No! No!"

Some photos:
  • Inside Uncle YangYang's car - thank him so much - he droved us there:
  • Lunch at Carl's Junior:
  • Greedy pig - 3 straws!
  • Aeon and his big fall. Actually I only wanted to capture his happiness . It looked like a painful one but he never cry - suffered some abrasions. He continued to run when we picked him up:
  • Father and son on the beach - Roland's bit unwell.
  • I like this photo - looks like father and son spending some quiet time together chit-chatting about me:
  • From the front , looking at the kites:
  • My turn:
  • Imprinting our prints:
  • We brought Aeon to the coast to wash his feet. When the waves approach, he was so afraid and leaned back. Later on, I pointed to him if he wanted to wash his hands/feet with the seawater, he said No! No! No!
  • We sat on the beach and took more photos. Aeon and his foot - he kept asking me to brush off those sand:
  • Clear blue sky , nice kite:
  • Tired Aeon was being distracted by the sea:
  • Some things that we found along the beach:
  • We wanted to rent the bikes but the auntie said she doesn't accept Nets because of the small amount, asked us to walk to MacDonald's to withdraw. We walked and walked till we are so tired and decided to head home since the one and only POSB ATM was down:

First visit to the Zoo 2/19/09

This will be a slow and long post about our Zoo trip. It is Aeon's first trip to the Singapore Zoo.
I will blog it bit by bit due to time constraints.

2/19/2009 - Roland's 32nd Birthday , we decided to bring Aeon to the Zoo to see the elephants and other animals.

Here's his first step onto the ground (was seated in his stroller prior this). He is so so so excited and happy. We can see from his laughter and behaviour.

We saw some elephant statues outside the Zoo :

And we took a photo with the elephants:

(there's a Ben & Jerry outside the Zoo)
Is this real? Aeon tried to say Hi to the cow:
  • Trying out the caps at the retail:
  • Aren't these cute? Wanted to fell for it and buy for Aeon, but he doesn't like:
  • Cute dustbins:
  • Walking directory:
  • Smile!
  • The handsome wolf, I like their smart 'boots':
  • A can of coke costs $3.50, luckily we bought some drinks from seven-eleven earlier. Remember to get your own drinks if you want to save money.
  • Eat and poo so much, see the size of their poo!
  • Aeon's point of view - looking at the Zebras:
  • The magnificent cheetah

  • I cannot recall what they are pointing at:
  • I'm not hiding into the soil this time - Ostrich
  • Another cute dustbin
  • Feasting, I don't remember the name of this little animal.
  • Difference between a jaguar and leopard - jaguars have black spots in the centre of each ring of spots, leopards do not.
  • The amount of rainfall for various places, Singapore is #2 after Amazon. Followed by Tokyo, NewYork, Beijing, Saudi Arabia
  • Milk time
  • Roland & I saw this on a tree, we thought it is a fake battery soft toy till we saw it breathing:
  • This is a real Batman! :P
  • At the 'Butterfly zone' - I managed to get close and took a nice shot, butterflies like colours and are attracted to these colourful boards:
  • What a delicious piece of 'Belacan stingray':
  • Say cheese Aeon!
  • Same polka face
  • Aeon has so much fun playing with this, pressing the different buttons to hear the different sounds animals make:
  • The zoo designed special food games for the chimpanzees, see this cute fellow playing to get his fruits. What a clever way to stimulate their minds:
  • It is a really hot day, we can't help giving in to a nice sweet dessert:
  • Horses have really long lashes:
  • The boy who loved the Zoo - saw this on a bench:
  • Cool - people actually discovered how to determine the sex of a crocodile. Intermediate temperatures produces males, low and high temperatures produce females.
  • So cute!
  • Many many kids on school excursion - reminds me of my primary school:
  • Aeon cannot make it - fainted and dozed off the stroller before he could see the real elephants:
  • We pulled him back:
  • Finally we reached the elephants, trying to wake Aeon:
  • We all took turns to take photos with the elephants:
  • We went to Dallas Chicken and Ribs for our dinner after our Zoo trip. I received an email from YX the previous day on Dallas, so I decided to bring both of them for dinner. I am quite disappointed, it is not as nice as the email, KFC's still my favorite. Dallas' fries are nice -hot and fat:
  • Aeon cannot sit still, eating and standing:
