Sigh.... our pig is down with virus again. Our fav. doc recommend me to let him try a supplement to boost his immunity (Elderwood flower), he said it worked on his kids.

Moody morning

After many days of rest, aeon is back to school. He is reluctant and
sad, he did not want to say bye to us when we left. He cried when
teacher tried to comfort him telling him that he is a good boy now.

Cooking

It has been ages since I cook.
I started cooking again recently.
It has been a big achievement for me - 4 dishes in 50 mins (of course there are better ones).
I spoiled our new frying pan - it got burnt while I was washing the dishes. :(

Roland set a new rule - whoever cooks will have to wash the dishes.... so..... I should either give up cooking or make him cook in future.

Cooked this for Roland's birthday:

Miso soup with bean curd (Aeon's fav), Ma La toufu (Lee kum kee Ma La paste) , braised soya drumstick, stir-fry xiao bai cai.

Roland is 33 years old

19 Feb is Roland's birthday, he is officially 33 years old despite his baby face.

2 years older than me.

31 years older than Aeon.

ACTUALLY IT IS KIND OF SCARY - 33 YEARS OLD.

Many asked me how do I feel with a baby faced hubby, well, got to accept the fact and age gracefully.

My off days

I have a really peaceful week since CNY because I took off for the whole 3 days.

Although I am still accessing my emails from home, my work is so called quiet because my major customers have gone off for long holidays.

Except for today (Friday), I got to do some really urgent documents waiting for my boss to approve my orders. In the end, Roland had to go off without me to Bugis.

These few days have been great, stress-free, I felt like a SAHM (Stay at home mummy) spending precious time with Aeon.

He followed me everywhere and kept asking me to let him play my IPhone.

We went to post letters together, teabreak at Benganwan Solo together (like a taitai).

I did not accomplish any important tasks , it is ok!

Aeon's shoes

During Spring cleaning, I gathered Aeon's shoes and take a photo.
Most of them are bought by me - I remembered the buying processes vividly.

2 pairs of shoes are not in the photo, a pair of Benetton sandals which he lost at Tampines NTUC (in the end we got to buy a noisy blue slippers on him - bottom left), a pair of Old Navy sandals he lost at Sembanwang.

Mummy's fav. is the brown leather-liked shoes in the bottom center, I bought for him to wear for YX's wedding.

Thoughts of CNY

It is so tiring to get ready for CNY. Tried to do spring cleaning but realised that I am not expert at spring cleaning at all. There are so many things in the house that doesn't belong to us - to throw or not to throw? Does this have any special meaning to anyone, is it significant ? Do we need these one day? Such thoughts always make me feel so lost...

I threw away an incomplete crocheted piece made by mother in law. Decided not to keep it because I realised that I have no way to help her complete it, besides it is so dusty.... Feeling guilty so I told Roland when I trashed it away.

Chinese New Year is full of superstitions/ practices / dos or don't donno wat we called it - like you got to have a reunion meal on the last day of the year , doing spring cleaning to welcome the new year because you cannot sweep the floor, break anything on the first day of the new year which signify bad luck for the rest of the year.

I enjoy the reunion meal - we had one at my mum's place this afternoon and a mini one (just the 3 of us in an Indian restaurant) for dinner. REUNION - means family. I am so glad that I have my parents to get together with - everyone is healthy and happy.

I treasure family kinship - I am a filial person. I respect everyone unless there is no trace of respect for the person anymore.

Some people care more for their ownselves more than their own family. Because of ego and face - they can do unrealistic things beyond what they can afford - try to make use of their family to achieve their dreams at others' expenses..... STUPID.

Life is short - how many years can you wait, how many chances can you give ? What is the opportunity cost of perseverance, what outcome do you expect, do you want a payback at your own expenses, by then will it be worth it? By the time you have seen the fruit of your perseverance at others' expenses, you have already lost more important things in life that you cannot get back during the years of waiting. STUPID.

Aeon got really excited over our IPhones and he would always asked me "借你电话？" Hoping that we can lend him. He knows how to unlock the way and thus we gotta put a password to lock it. He likes watching YouTube and listening to Beatles on my IPhone.

Back to school

After fallen sick for 4 days, Aeon is finally back to school today! Teacher said he is better now as compared to when he first joined - he listened to the teachers' instructions and is esp. naughty when we are around.

He lost his new waterbottle's cover in school, so ... I got to get him another bottle!

He did cry alittle bit in the early morning and after his nap, well he is adapting fine.
I am also less worried about him now.

Our only obstacle is we gotta take turns to take leave to look after him when he's sick.

He's the happiest when I pick him up from school because he always sing out loud when we walked to the bus stop.

Something funny -

• one of the little boy was so excited to see me and he called me MUMMY just now!
• Aeon was back facing me while I was watching him from the window - the other kids watched me and hi to me and helped me call for Aeon :)
  

Sick

Aeon is sick (maybe he caught the virus from the childcare) - runny nose, fever, cough.

Aeon asked me in a cheeky manner since last saturday.

I thought he asked me only, but seems like he also asked Roland the same question.

This is not from Doraemon show.

So where did he pick this up?

5th day of childcare

Today is a better day, I am feeling better because yesterday turned out ok.
The same thing happened.
During the morning, he cried and asked a teacher to carry him.

As usual, the teachers told me that Aeon was better without us around.
Teacher told us to buy a new water bottle for him because Aeon carried his bottle everywhere even in his sleep (maybe this is his security bottle, the only thing he can hug when he's alone) - this bottle leaks.

He's still not eating well, eat the fruit but not the rice.
As usual, he cried after his nap looking for ME.

I asked Aeon if he like school just now, he told me 喜欢！

4th day at childcare

This is a scary day for me and Aeon because this is the real day where we left him at the childcare for the whole day. Waking up Aeon is a little tougher today, he kept saying he wanted to sleep.

Aeon seemed to sense something because he insisted us to carry him, asking for re-assurance like asking us to sayang him.

While we were walking towards the childcare centre, he claimed "读书“！
After entering the class, he ran in to play with the toys.

When it was time to bye him, he ran towards us telling us that he wanted to go home with us.
We had to quickly dash out and hid behind the door.

We peeped at him from outside and saw him standing at a spot looking really lost, betrayed, puzzled. He squatted down and pout his lips (crying).

To be frank, my heart is so painful seeing him like this (eyes teary, heavy hearted).

I was feeling so lost the whole day - so difficult to concentrate in work.
I called the childcare during lunch time and they told me that he was ok.

Towards the end of the day, I went to fetch him and teacher told me he was crying (lunch time, after his nap, on and off ) looking for ME! :(

When he saw me, he was so thrilled and ran towards me.
Another cute thing is, many other kids walked towards me and said hi to me.
They have befriended me during my stay there :)

The big night market at Bishan

Last Sunday:

There's a really big market at Bishan Interchange, it is quite a disappointment. This is just like any night market that you will expect to find in neighbourhood. I missed those night markets in Bangkok, when will we ever have the same type in Singapore?

Anyway, this is set up for CNY, I cannot really feel the CNY ambiance.

There is this electronic toy cars that attracted Aeon's attention.
He cried for more than 10 mins and we finally gave in to him.
$4 for 10 wonderful short-lived minutes for a little boy - this is his first attempt to 'operate' a car (this is remotely controlled by Roland, Aeon thought he was the one operating, he adjusted the gear/clutch several times).

We do not mean to pick a PINK car for him, but this was the only remote controlled one available at that time.

Not sure what is wrong, there is this little old boy who kept disturbing Aeon, he would purposely bumped into Aeon's pink car.

Well, it is the same sad ending for every kid, they cried for more......

Third day at childcare

Today Aeon was being 'carried' by the principal during the class. The principal told Aeon that he needed to sit together with the classmates and not did what he liked/pleased. She told me that we need to let him know what is right and wrong (followed the class) and asked me to sit together with Aeon. This seems to work a little, he was actually quite obedient and played together.

I saw Aeon played with water just now, so I guessed he's really being naughty (he removed his diaper and said he wanted to pee, and he kept washing his hands and went to pee, washed hands then pee....repetitively).

There is a really nice teacher called Teacher Wayne, he seems to be more patient and I like the way he handled the kids - patient and professionally).

During lunch time, a teacher appointed a little girl to distribute the lunches to the kids - praising her that she is so independent and clever like a class monitor. She looks really independent and was distributing the plates neatly until the second last plate (btw, they are having rice with egg + veggies + water melon). This 2nd last plate is kinda tough because she couldn't reach the kid whom was sitting at the far end, so she had to try to reach the kid with her short hands.... In the end, the soup spilled onto a little boy's head. This is then, the teacher 'scolded' her "I don't want you to help me, you go back to your seat" ... I cannot remember what else she said, but I could see the disappointment and embarrassment in her eyes. This is when the sensitive teacher Wayne re-assured her and told her it is ok....

Tomorrow we had to let Aeon stay for a whole day, this is when my heart will start to break - seeing him cry at the windows (maybe?). The teachers also told me that tomorrow they will start to 'train' Aeon to behave himself. :{

I brought Aeon to the library today to borrow some books. (Have to admit that this is the first time I brought him to the library).

I forgot to bring the housekeys out today, in the end I had to seek shelter at my mum's (waiting for Roland).

Aeon sat next to Zenith today, Zenith is so guai, I saw him went to pee himself and put on his own shorts, so independent (I never peep at him, Aeon copied him to pee just now):

The boy on the right (bottom right of the photo), this is the cute little boy who asked me to hold his hands and sat on my lap on Monday.

The little girl (backview , short hair with the white and green uniform) - she is a very interesting little girl, she can speak very well, always complain to me, Aeon touched her hair, 'beat her stomach' etc.,

Second day of school

Aeon was scolded again coz teacher thought he played with water - he heard a teacher asking a kid to wash hands so he followed suit (kids like to follow one another). :P

Roland accompanied Aeon today and there is a little boy who followed Roland everywhere.

He napped for almost 2.5 hours close to 3....

Fir st day of school

Aeon started his class today!
It is quite easy to wake him up.
Fed him 180 ml of milk and dressed him up for class.

Met Serena, Mark and Celeste at the childcare (Zen is sick so the boys did not manage to see each other).

First 2 hours: Aeon roamed around freely and touched everything he could reach. This is like a big playground for him.
Next 2 hours: He started to affect other classes, roamed into the older children's learning area and the teacher had to ask him to go back to his area. Aeon took a toy (plastic spatula?) and smacked the floors and ran. I was sitting outside watching him from a corner. I supposed he actually hit some classmates because I heard the Chinese teacher scolded and told him off. I believed Aeon defied the teacher saying something and the teacher said something back. I also saw Aeon threw a toy orange at the teacher (2 times) and made the teacher really angry.
Shortly after, Aeon roamed near and found some cards and offered it to her, she displaced her anger by throwing it onto the table.

She also told the rest not to follow this bad example of little boy and mentioned that will call the Police! (I am totally embarassed). Aeon cried and walked and looked for me.

A little boy followed me everywhere and sat on my lap (He thought that I am either his mummy or teacher).
During lunch, this little boy was sitting with us and Aeon (as usual, he is a clumsy boy) turned around and looked at the boy. As he turned, his other hand flipped over the lunch and the whole bowl fell off the table and created a big mess. Oops..... The chinese teacher had to sweep the mess for Aeon.

The kids watched Barney while waiting for their turns to bathe and lunch.
Aeon did not eat any breakfast or lunch there and I was kinda worried but the teachers assured that he will pick up slowly.

I was thinking of letting him nap there but changed my mind as he kept telling me that he wanted to watch Barney. He thought that he could do whatever he like there.

They feedback that Aeon is a very active boy, he seems to be 'ok' and can 'fit' in and they will discipline him when the parents are not around.

The Chinese teacher asked me if Aeon is like this back home - there is no one Aeon will hit at home, he wouldn't beat us (so where does he learn from?).
She told us that we need to teach him at home because we do not want our kids to be hit by other kids too. I totally agree.... who likes their kids to be bullied?

How does my Aeon feel? Too bad he still cannot relate well enough.
